Selling photos and videos: where and how

Content keeps earning while you’re offline. Almost every cam site lets you sell photos and videos, and many performers also use fan or clip platforms. Here’s how the options compare.

Selling on your cam site

Most platforms we review let you sell content from your profile:

• Photo and video albums at your own price (Stripchat, CamSoda, Chaturbate, XLoveCam and others).
• Recorded shows: BongaCams lets you record streams and sell them; Stripchat lets you save private shows as paid videos.
• Fan clubs: a monthly subscription for exclusive content (Chaturbate, Cam4, Stripchat, XLoveCam).
• Paid messages with media: LiveJasmin’s messenger and Visit-X’s messenger let you send priced photos and videos.

Pros: your live viewers are already there, and it’s all in one account and one payout. Cons: buyers are mostly people who already watch you live.

Subscription fan platforms and clip stores

• Subscription (fan) sites: fans pay monthly for access; you control prices and posting. Discovery is weak, so you bring your own traffic.
• Clip stores: individual videos sold to people searching for specific content. Good for niches, but it takes steady production and tagging.

Pricing tips

• Check what similar creators on the same platform charge.
• Offer a mix: cheap short clips or photo sets, and a few premium items.
• Bundle older content at a discount.
• Don’t underprice. It’s hard to raise prices later.

Privacy and protection

• Remove identifying details from every frame: tattoos you want private, jewellery, windows, mail, reflections.
• Strip location data (EXIF) from photos before uploading. Many platforms do this, but not all.
• Watermark content with your stage name.
• Assume anything you sell can be shared. Read leaks and DMCA takedowns and register your content where platforms offer DMCA protection.
• Anyone who appears in your content must be verified with the platform and must have consented.
